Rev. Ann Lyter and the St. Matthew family have graciously invited our congregation/community to join them for an evening of remembrance — music, prayers for healing and peace, and a turning of our hearts toward hope in God. The service will include brief personal reflections from members of the community on how that day shaped them, and what we hope we continue to remember a quarter century later.
30–45 minutes. No sign-up needed. All are welcome — simply come.
And don't forget the Interfaith Clothing & Food Drive the Saturday before — September 5, 7–11 a.m., drive-thru, same location.

Twenty-five years ago, our nation was changed forever. Every year since, September 11 has been observed as a National Day of Service and Remembrance — a day to honor those we lost, and those who ran toward the danger, by doing good for others.
Since 2022, St. Matthew United Methodist Church and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mesa Alma Stake have marked this day together, serving side by side in our community. We're doing it again this year: collecting clothing donations and stocking the community pantry so our neighbors have what they need.
