Help host the Arizona Celebration of Freedom in Mesa (July 4th)

Join us as we celebrate this Independence Day, 2026!
What’s the best way to share the spirit of American Independence this July 4th? Volunteering at the 2026 Willmeng Arizona Celebration of Freedom – the coolest independence festival in the state!
There are multiple times and shifts available for July 3 and 4, including splash zone, carnival games, entertainment, and info booths.
Volunteers will receive free parking, a commemorative t-shirt, free meal, snacks, cold drinks and are entered into a raffle for awesome prizes. They also have a great view of the fireworks!
Restock Books in a Little Free Library

Did you know that books are harder for some kids to get to than others? Not everyone has the means to purchase books when they want them, has transportation, understands how to use a library, and/or has the ability to get to a library to borrow books. That's where Little Free Libraries come in handy!
Join "Team LFL"! You'll choose as many as you would like from a list of Little Free Libraries located somewhere in Phoenix Metro to 'adopt' - which means you visit them every other week to ensure that 1. the library is full of books and 2. that the library is in good condition. Books are even provided by SWHD! And you get a cute shirt to wear while you're restocking! :)
Average amount of time volunteering over a month is 2-4 hours. Some libraries need restocking less frequently than biweekly.
Prepare Clothing and Supplies for Families in Need

Helping Hand for Aid Relief and Development is seeking volunteers to assist with preparing humanitarian aid for families in need.
Volunteers will help sort, fold, and pack donated items such as clothing and essential supplies. These items are carefully organized and loaded into containers that are shipped to communities facing hardship both locally and internationally.
This is a hands-on service opportunity that makes a real impact. No experience is required just a willingness to help and work as part of a team. Volunteer hours can be provided if needed for school, work, or service requirements.
