A Sacred Beginning to Holy Week
Joint Palm Sunday Devotional
The Los Altos Ward and St. Matthew United Methodist Church recently gathered in a beautiful musical celebration to mark the beginning of the Easter season.
The evening featured inspired messages from Bishop Don Mortensen and Pastor Ann Lyter, who shared insights on the profound hope found in Jesus Christ. The program was enriched by a variety of musical contributions—including choir, solo, and instrumental performances—offered by members of both congregations.
The event served as a moving reminder of the unity found in faith. As we worshiped and sang together, the core message of Easter—peace, hope, and redemption through the Savior—bridged our communities as one.
We are grateful to all who participated in this sacred start to Holy Week.

Parental Devotional Review

Post-Devotional Resources Available Now
Following the recent parent devotional, we are pleased to share several resources to help you continue the conversation at home. You can now access a digital version of the presentation slides shared by President Callirgos, along with the instructional handouts distributed during the event. Additionally, the Stake Presidency has recorded a brief follow-up video to offer thanks to all those that attended. We invite all parents and guardians to visit the website to review these materials and reflect on the inspired messages shared.
The Family Proclamation clarifies that "Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ".

Stake Relief Society Service Activity: A Success!
On Saturday, March 7, 2026, the Mesa Alma Stake Relief Society hosted a morning of service and sisterhood. With over 50 sisters in attendance, the Stake Center was filled with a spirit of industry and fellowship as participants worked on two vital projects.
Impacting the Community The activity focused on supporting a local nonprofit, Gathering Humanity. Sisters spent the morning:
-
Assembling Period Care Kits: Utilizing the generous donations of feminine pads provided by members of the stake.
-
Decorating Personal Journals: Creating unique, hand-crafted journals to offer comfort and encouragement to those in transition.
The Power of Connection Beyond the physical items produced, the event provided a wonderful opportunity for sisters from across the stake to visit, strengthen friendships, and welcome new faces.
A sincere "Thank You" to our Relief Society presidency for organizing the event and to every individual who contributed supplies or time. Your efforts will provide much-needed resources and a reminder to those in need that they are seen and loved.
