“In October, our Los Altos Ward missionaries were busy blessing the community,” shared Evan Olson, Ward Mission Leader. “They assisted three times at the Saint Matthew United Methodist Church Food Pantry, helping serve neighbors in need with cheerful hearts. Then just this past week, Elders Bushman and Smith rolled up their sleeves again—this time helping install new signage at Saint Matthew’s. They spent three and a half hours removing the old system and securing the new sign in place.”
Steve Childs from Saint Matthew UMC shared this kind note and photo afterward:
“... Wow, what a day! It took us longer to remove the old system than it did to install the new one. We had some great help though from your young missionaries—not only lifting heavy things but also helping with the installation. We really appreciate their help with our project. They saved some backs on the old guys. The sign is in, but we won't be able to connect it to the internet until probably Monday.”
We’re so grateful for these ongoing partnerships that let us serve side by side with our community friends—proving once again that when neighbors serve neighbors, everyone is lifted!
