Twice a month, volunteers from the Mesa Alma Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints partner with the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation (Elliott & Dobson) to unload the semi-truck that brings food for individuals and families in need. This takes place on the 2nd and 4th Fridays at 9:00 a.m.
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we strive to love our neighbors and lift those around us. This ongoing partnership has become a meaningful way for us to follow the Savior’s example of feeding the hungry, strengthening community ties, and building genuine friendships with those who dedicate their lives to serving others.
We invite and encourage members of the stake to join us. Your presence strengthens not only the work, but also the warm interfaith relationships we are building with our friends at Tzu Chi. Even an hour of your time blesses lives — including your own.
For more details on how you can assist, please contact Marni Fuhriman or Janeen Barney.
Together, with Christlike love and willing hands, we are helping create a kinder and more connected community — one truckload at a time.
