Teachings from President Alan Guthrie

In the general session of our February Stake Conference, we received a powerful invitation from President Alan Guthrie to make sacred music, including the hymns, a part of our every day. Sacred music has a unique way of touching our hearts, teaching doctrine, and drawing us closer to the Lord. Bringing these sacred melodies into our homes invites the Spirit, provides comfort during difficult times, and helps keep our thoughts centered on the Savior. Whether during personal study, family time, or throughout a busy day, filling our daily lives with sacred music will strengthen our testimonies, bring powerful blessings of peace, and help us better hear Him.

Self-Reliance Devotional

Please join us for the Stake Self-Reliance Devotional on Sunday, June 28, at 2:30 PM at the Stake Center. We are excited to announce that four courses are now being offered (see the attached flyer for details). These inspired courses help individuals and families strengthen their ability to provide for themselves spiritually and temporally. Come discover how the Lord will bless you and your family as you seek to become more self-reliant!

Interested in being a Temple Ordinance Worker?

The Mesa Temple operates four shifts daily, Tuesday through Saturday, making each shift relatively short. Ordinance workers typically serve just one shift per week. If you need more flexibility, you can also serve as a "flex" worker, committing to just two shifts per month. Ready to get started? Speak with your bishop today!

Invitation to Study Together

The Stake Presidency is inviting everyone to join the youth and their families in the summer FSY Guide weekly study. It is a wonderful book that will bless our lives and bring us all closer to Christ. Each section is very short.

Yorba Linda California Temple Dedicated

This temple and all latter-day temples constitute our visible, tangible testimony of the living reality of the Redeemer since without His Atonement and Resurrection, the temple would serve no purpose,” President Christofferson said in remarks broadcast throughout the temple district. “I give you my sure witness that Jesus of Nazareth is the Son of God and Savior of the world, the resurrected Lord, that He lives, and that this is His Church, His house, and His work.” The Yorba Linda Temple is one of eight operating temples in California. The San Diego Temple will reopen for free public tours on June 18. The Modesto Temple is under construction, and temples in Bakersfield and Sunnyvale have been announced.

Upcoming Mission Boundary Change

As part of some upcoming adjustments to local missionary labor, our stake will be transitioning from the Arizona Tempe Mission to the Arizona Mesa Mission. This change will officially take effect during the next missionary transfers near the end of June. We are deeply grateful for the wonderful missionaries from the Tempe Mission who have served our community so faithfully, and we look forward to welcoming and working closely with the Mesa Mission leadership and elders and sisters in the coming weeks!

Submit Your Service Hours since January 1st 2026

We have been asked to collect service hours for our stake members since the beginning of the year 2026. We will then submit these as part of the America250 celebration. These can be submitted by project or activity, or as a collection. Service includes formal service projects as well as any service performed on another’s behalf. Some examples include: a JustServe project, an organized community project, helping a neighbor, helping someone in need, helping at a foodbank, preparing and teaching lessons, time spent in callings, ministering, temple attendance, etc. You can submit multiple entries so you can categorize your hours as desired or a single entry that covers all your service hours.
