Teaching from Pres Henry B. Eyring

I am reminded of the example of the sons of Mosiah, who had success in preaching the gospel and were made spiritually strong because they prayed constantly… their spiritual strength came from continued prayer rather than waiting to pray until a moment of crisis when they desperately needed divine help. Consistent prayer during joyous times and also during seasons of distress and grief will surely be rewarded according to His will and perfect timing.”

Invitation to Study Together

In September, the curriculum for our youth becoming For the Strength of Youth. Our Stake

Presidency has invited the entire Stake to join the youth, parents and leaders to prepare for September by joining in a weekly study plan of the chapters in “For the Strength of Youth” and related articles.

It “will help you build a solid foundation for making choices to stay on the covenant path that leads to eternal life” (FSY Guide). This promise applies to each one of us. The invitation is to start by adding this to our study and continuing each week until September. As we join in, we will see blessing in our understanding of the gospel, in our hope, and in our unity with each other and with Christ.

There is so much good we are blessed with, at this time. Let’s join in the study of “For the Strength of Youth”, this summer. We will see the hand of the Lord in our lives as we walk with Him and learn of His strength.

We love you and are grateful for you.

Submit Your Service Hours since January 1st 2026

We have been asked to collect service hours for our stake members since the beginning of the year 2026. We will then submit these as part of the America250 celebration. These can be submitted by project or activity, or as a collection. Service includes formal service projects as well as any service performed on another’s behalf. Some examples include: a JustServe project, an organized community project, helping a neighbor, helping someone in need, helping at a foodbank, preparing and teaching lessons, time spent in callings, ministering, temple attendance, etc. You can submit multiple entries so you can categorize your hours as desired or a single entry that covers all your service hours.

On May 2, representatives from our stake attended the Daughters’ Luncheon: Kentucky Derby at St. Matthew United Methodist Church. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, connection, and community celebration in a festive setting. It was a true joy to spend a few hours with our dear friends from St. Matthew, enjoying meaningful conversation and strengthening our shared friendship.
